After watching Daisuke Matsuzaka struggle so much in the first inning this season, Boston manager Terry Francona was quite pleased with how his starter looked right from the start against Oakland. Matsuzaka pitched two-hit ball into the seventh inning and Adrian Beltre homered to help the Red Sox snap the Athletics five-game winning streak with a 2-1 victory Monday night.
