Through the first few games of the MLB season, the Boston Red Sox have stumbled out of the gate. In a very competitive American League East, the rough start cannot come as a complete surprise; but the method that they are losing games cannot be completely discounted. Injuries to three key components of this season’s team (Jacoby Ellsbury, Andrew Bailey, Carl Crawford) have hindered the Sox in their quest to exorcize the demons from last season’s colossal collapse and return to the post season in October.
